Our goal here at NLBC is to help you develop spiritually in both the mind and heart. As described in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, maturing as a believer happens through biblical discipleship. We will discuss how to incorporate one-on-one discipleship, devoting time each day for Bible study, and class devotionals to achieve true discipleship. By being mentored in a deeply personal way, your relationship with Jesus will be grown and strengthened.
As an organization, NLBC is committed to discipleship and living it out. We provide students the opportunity, each week, to have discipleship with a staff member. By having a more mature Christian that can mentor and walk you through any questions you may have, you will grow spiritually and build a relationship that can last a lifetime.
Discipleship is founded on God's Word and is something that takes place each day. Applying it to your life through studying and memorization will help build your spiritual habits. Additionally, we give students a Quiet Time devotional which connects specific passages of the Scripture to everyday challenges to determine what the writer is saying and how you can apply it in your life. Uninterrupted time is scheduled each week for this.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
