The New Life Bible College will give you practical strategies for proclamation evangelism, with an emphasis on evangelistic preaching, and preparing your church for follow-up with new believers. The course of study is self-paced, and you have 180 days from when you register to finish it. Within each lesson, feel free to move back and forth between activities, but keep in mind that you must successfully complete the current lesson’s quiz before moving on to the next lesson.
Classroom training will include learning a logical presentation of the gospel, how to invite others to proclaim their faith in Jesus, practicing presentation, focus on salvation, how to answer common objections to the gospel, defining a start and end date to training, trusting in God, what difficulties to expect, and when to follow up. Additionally, we will examine four ways of looking at evangelism as a necessary part of discipleship to help grow and mature because of its ability to:
1. Keep the gospel central to our lives and churches
2. Help deepen the understanding of a majority of fundamental truths of Scripture
3. Help our love grow for God and neighbor by being motivated through evangelism
4. Deepen faith by prompting unexpected questions and objections from non-Christians
The content in this course will teach you to more effictively:
-Start where people are
-Ask hard questions
-Speak the hard truth
-See the felt need and address the real need
-See that nothing is off-limits
-Keep watch for fruitfulness
New Life Bible College teaches three critical points around evangelism: how to share your faith story, what evangelism is and how to approach it, and that God has more invested in evangelism than we do – He is in control. God is at work. He wants us to, "show up and pay attention [to the Spirit]," and to care about people enough to "press" them by asking probing questions about what they think and what's going on in their lives.
Evangelism is essentially about the core of the Gospel, ministering in your sphere of influence and sustaining those you reach.
