The purpose of our general studies program is to help the student gain the practical knowledge that they will need in a life of Christian Ministry. These courses all provide content that will be used regularly and will help develop critical thinking skills. English Writing will give you the skills to write effectively and clearly communicate a message and is followed by research writing, which will give you the skills to locate resources, evaluate sources, and integrate that information ethically. Applied math will prepare you for the financial side of ministry work, and will go over those essential concepts necessary to keep on track. Finally, communications and public speaking will give you the skills to address a large group of people and deliver an effective sermon.
We also offer a Life-Skills course that addresses a variety of core skills that include financial planning, computer skills, time management, and many others. These courses are taught with content and themes of the Word of God to help you more effectively defend sound doctrine, develop a biblically-based philosophy, and present biblical truths clearly and correctly.
